This base die is needed for all of the “Trifold Christmas” card designs, as the center fold out is ONlY included in this base die here.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis amazing card base combines the much beloved trifold card base with a special fold out pop up bridge design, that folds downwards as your recipients and opens the left and right wing of the trifold card. This base has an oval\/ dome shaped top that invites you to decorate to your hearts content. The fold out design includes three semi hidden bridges that allow you to pop up images big and small. Those images stand up on the centerfold of the card and make this a full and bold card design, that is sure to become part of your recipient’s home decor. Imagine, gifting one of these works of art to someone living in a nursing home to display on a nightstand of their bedroom. This is one of our easier pop up designs and lends itself to beginner pop up card makers. You can also build the fold outs into your scrapbook albums.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe cards are very generously sized and will fit a standard US A7 sized envelope, which is usually 5x7 inches in size. These cards will be very dimensional and were designed to accommodate the additional thickness created by the pop up design. We strongly recommend to mail your projects and cards in a secure bubble mailer, marked as “fragile” to hopefully bypass the post offices “evil” metering devices that like to smoosh three dimensional cards.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe include a layering piece, not just one, but two folding trifold panels for faster die cutting, two large and one short pop up bridge as well as the pop up fold out die, and a mini bridge to connect images in front of each other. Also included is a beautiful sentiment with its matching shadow layer, which is a pretty sentiment for a “just because”, “friendship”, “thinking of you” or “saying hello” card. This die here specifically decorates the outer sleeve that wraps around our small moving podium and can be used to basically decorate the bottom to look like the trunk of a birch tree or the basket shaped tree collar that you may see around the bottom of a decorated Christmas tree in your Christmas living room at your house. This gives you two different looks that are especially pretty in combination with the large Christmas tree that can be added to the small podiums as well. It closes the Christmas tree on the bottom and gives it the finishing touch. The basket allows you to introduce another color scheme. There is also a small pine cone and pine bow and a small bow included. Of course this podium can be used for Christmas, but its use is all year around and you can use it in connection with other holidays and occasions and with your many other different stamps and dies. Scrappy Tails Crafts already has several add-on stamps and dies planned for the coming collections to give you even more curated scene building tools and inspiration. The podium itself has two additional slits build into the top to allow you to pop up your images easily through the bottom of the podium, while hiding your pop up mechanism from view. You can also use the included pop up stick bridges to glue additional images onto the top of the podium.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eTo give the podium the right amount of pressure and to allow it to stand upright more easily, you can use the build in two areas for one or two rubber-band(s) to create some additional wall pressure and card stability. Scrappy Tails Crafts sells the correct sized rubber bands (separately) and has YouTube video tutorials available that show how to install the rubber-bands to really create amazing podiums.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe suggest to use a 100 lb cardstock or higher (preferably a cover cardstock of 280gsm or better) to have enough strength to hold up all of your favorite images and to enjoy your home decor piece all season long and to ensure that your beautiful art piece gets pulled out again year after year.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAs with most of other interactive Scrappy Tails Crafts die products, you are able to lay the podium flat for easy mailing. You can pull the podium downwards (which requires that all of your lower level images and illustrative elements are kept within the boundaries of your podium.) When pulling the podium structure downwards in order to flatten your card, you will be able to use a standard A7 5x7” inch envelope (as long as you keep the height of your popped up images plus the podium to no higher than a combined 7” inches.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIf you want a wider display for additional scene building tools and the major “wow” effect, you will be forced to push the podium structure upwards in order to flatten your card for mailing. Whenever the podium gets pushed upwards, you will likely be just above the combined height of 7 inches overall, which makes the card too tall for an A7 envelope and will require that you use an 8x8 square sized standardized envelope (which does require additional postage within the U.S. and Canada and potentially in other countries as well, due to the square nature of the envelope, which does not fit many standard postage meter machines. This is the absolute largest die that we have ever brought out and we even included (for free!) one of our old but truly useful pop up rubber-band slider mechanisms that Scrappy Tails originally launched its company with back in 2020. This is a slightly smaller version of the original die, but it can be changed\/sized to work inside this brand new picture box (as well as in many other pop up cards!) to have it pop into place straight out of the envelope, which is a great surprise for your recipient.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNow, what do you get and why is this die so cool? Basically, you will get a pop up box that is a 6X6 or a 8x8 sized square when folded completely flat (depending on how much you add to the top of your card!), which means it will fit into a standardized 6X6 or 8X8 envelope. The box has a window shaped opening in the front and a deep cut into its interior which can be filled with a number of different images (stamps and dies - new \u0026amp; older once which you already have in your stash). The sides of the box fold down, which essentially collapses the box and lays it flat. When the window box comes back to life (thanks to the pressure and pull of a rubber band), the back and the very front of the card will pop up as well. So, you will experience a popped up surprise at the very back of the card, at the very front of the card, and also you will see that (thanks to the slider bridge that expands and contracts) that surprise images will magically (spookily, is that even a word?) appear inside the window. You can use more than one bridge inside the card and you can camouflage the bridge with the images of your choice. As the card unfolds, the images will slide into the center of the window, revealing your design and your surprise images. There is a lot of interactivity going on in this card all at the same time. We have a few very cool add-ons for this window box, including the fortune teller booth and the crystal ball. Our ghosts, cats, and celestial accessories are also all small enough to turn our little window into a cat fun house, a spooky ghost window or maybe a planetarium perhaps, but this picture box could easily take shape for other occasions and seasons- think puppet theatres, maybe a concert hall with instruments on stage and ballets dancers, retail windows decorated for different seasons (like toy shops or your favorite Christmas booth selling gift packages and bags with big bows or a bakery selling your favorite tiered wedding cakes - or the outer edge could be turned into a closet with baby toys and baby clothes for a new baby card…. Just replace your cutting plates with your embossing folder with your project paper wedged in between the two embossing folder halves and let the pressure of your die cutting machine emboss a cool card design into the background of your Tarot cards. There are many embossing folder techniques on YouTube - if you have never used an Embossing folder, then we would highly recommend to watch some technique tutorials, but generally you can dry emboss, just by using the relief in the plastic to create an embossing or debossing of your paper or you can use a wet embossing technique by lining the inside of your embossing folder with embossing powders, pigments, water color based inks straight from an ink pad, or even various crafty pastes, pearlescent sprays, specialty card stocks, vellum, or even aluminum foil from your kitchen to create the coolest effects on your projects. We would just strongly recommend to stay away from using alcohol based products or stazon type products as they can be very sticky and much more difficult to clean up.
