Ahoy shaker card with real beach sand

I created this nautical shaker card using some pattern paper I had in my stash. To create the shaker window, I die cut a Sizzix shape die from the pattern paper and added acetate behind it. To further accent the front of the card, I added a red frame using the same Sizzix shape die cuts around the shaker window. To add to the nautical feel of this card, I added some gold nuvo drops around the entire red frame. I also added a cute stamped sand piper walking along the bottom of the shaker window. on top of the acetate, I added my sentiment "Ahoy," which I die cut from a Memory Box alphabet letter die set. What's unique about this card is I added real Florida sand that I might have stolen from my local beach! This is a creative twist on a shaker card and a unique way of displaying some sand/small shells you might have collected on your summer vacation! I think this design could easily be transformed into a home decor piece. Perhaps a shadow box? To finish the card, I stamped a cluster of seashells onto some cream card-stock and layered it behind my shaker window. I purchased this wooden seashell stamp a long time ago at Michaels. Unfortunately, this stamp is no longer sold. However, I will link a similar stamp below. My card was completed with some red and white bakers twine with a small starfish embellishment that I placed in the center of the bow.
