Custom Slimline Cards Featuring Hot Foil Letters & Dies
Video tutorial
Card One
Both of my cards today feature a little bit of ink blending. (I know surprise, surprise, I can't help it!) For this card, I used Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet Distress Oxide inks. I blended both colors on watercolor paper and die cut the panel using a slimline scalloped stitched rectangle die. From the center of the panel, I die cut several pink butterflies. I added some pattern paper on top of my scalloped panel to hide the areas where I die cut!
As mentioned, the hot foiled letters on this card are by Scrappy Tails. I used the "Uppercase Old English Letters" and the "Lowercase Old English Letters" to cut the lowercase letters, I used their coordinating dies. For both cards, I foiled the letters with matte gold foil.
To finish off the card, I scattered pink and gold butterflies around the sentiment. I also added some white daisies that I die cut from the Scrappy Tails "Layering Daisies" die set.
Card Two
The distress oxide inks I used for this card were Speckled Egg and Bundled Sage. Instead of scattering butterflies around the sentiment, I added some vine leaves, which I cut from the center of my ink blended scalloped rectangle panel. The leaf die I used, comes in the Scrappy Tails "Assorted Leaves" die set.
As a finishing touch, I scattered a few Lucy's cards blue and green pearls that matched the inks on the card perfectly!
I hope you all have a great rest of your weekend, thanks for stopping by!
