Hot Foil Ornament Trio Cards
Hello crafty friends! I’m sharing two cards I made using the beautiful Triple Ornament hot foil plates by Scrappy Tails Crafts. I paired it with the new "Winter Flurries" 6x6 pattern paper pad to create two quick and simple card designs.
I hot foiled the three ornaments from the "Triple Christmas Ornament" hot foil plates using silver foil on navy card stock using my Spellbinders glimmer machine.
I used their coordinating dies to cut them out.
I was hesitant at first to buy the Glimmer machine, but then it went on sale, so I decided to bite the bullet and give it a shot. I definitely think it's worth the money!
I followed a few tutorials, and there was some trial and error at first. But after a few attempts, I was absolutely amazed that I was able to achieve amazing results! Now, I’m obsessed!
After I foiled the first set of ornaments, I used the left over negative foil to create another set of ornaments using a solid Hot Foil Plate!
I love the the blue and white motif of the pattern paper, but I decided at the very last second to add red accents. I thought that it was an interesting color combination for a holiday card!
I love how the foiled ornaments give the cards such an elegant look and feel.
The sentiments I used for my cards came from the English Winter Village stamp 6x8 set also from Scrappy Tails Crafts.
I hope these cards inspire you! Have a wonderful crafty day! ‘Til next time!

How did you create the negative image with the leftovers? I have the glimmer system – just got it. Is a solid plate a separate item I can buy?
