Let's Celebrate... Christmas in August!

Hello friends! Joy, here today with a Christmas in August card... is that a thing LOL? For me, I say everyday is perfect to celebrate Christmas! My card today features the Cardinal Blessings 6x6 stamp set from Scrappy Tails Crafts, let's take a look!

This card was very easy to create and perfect for mass producing for Christmas. I started out by masking an oval and blending distress oxide inks in a gradient over my background panel. I added Chipped Sapphire to the top of the panel, Peacock Feathers in the center and Tumbled Glass at the bottom. I made sure to leave an almost white bottom so that I could safely stamp and color the birdhouse without ruining my markers.

Once happy with the blend, I removed the oval and stamped and copic colored  the birdhouse image from the Cardinal Blessings stamp set. I added a bit more "snow" by splattering white acrylic paint and laid it aside to dry. While that dried I stamped and embossed the sentiment in red to make it pop. Then, I die cut the sentiment using a banner die in my stash. Really simple, right? But so perfect for your holiday crafting!
