Lighthouse Encouragement Card

Hello, crafters and happy Monday!! I hope you're having a great week!
I have an encouragement card to share with you today featuring the latest release from Scrappy Tails Crafts!!
I stamped the lighthouse from the Guiding Light Stamp Set onto white card stock with Copic-friendly black ink. I colored the image with Copics, added highlights with a white gel pen and used the Coordinating Die to cut it out.
For the background scene, I masked the top part of a panel of white cardstock and blended Mermaid Lagoon and Uncharted Mariner Distress Oxide Inks for the sea. I splattered it with clean water and picked up the excess with a paper towel. I added texture by using a damp baby wipe and dabbing it onto the wet ink. Then, I masked the bottom part of the panel and blended Squeezed Lemonade (for the light), Tumbled Glass, Blueprint Sketch and Villainous Potion Distress Inks for the sky. I splattered it with water and diluted white gouache to resemble stars.
The panel was die-cut with a 4″ x 5.25″ rectangle die and adhered to a white A2 card base.
Once the background was totally dry, I white heat embossed the sentiment, also from the Guiding Light Stamp Set (so many great sentiments in this set!!), directly onto the background. The lighthouse was popped up with foam tape. I added texture to the water, stars in the sky and shine to the light in the lighthouse with a clear sparkle pen to finish it off.

I really love how this card turned out!! I love the contrast of the red and gray lighthouse with the blues in the water and the sky!!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!!
