Pop up Slimline Birdhouse Card
Hi friends, Joy here with a really fun birdhouse slimline card to share today! I don't know about you but I'm ready for Spring, and nothing says it better than the return of the birds from the South. I used a few new products from Scrappy Tails Crafts to make this fabulous project, but let's take a look before we go into the details...
Isn't this the cutest thing ever? I love how effortless the dies cut and perfectly match up. I also love that the stamp sets are created to stand alone or complement one another. In addition to the Slimline Bird House Pop Up Die, I used the Spring Birds 6x8 stamp set.
I chose to use patterned scrapbook paper to decorate the front of my bird house, so I cut the front panel twice and layered it with thick card stock. You don't have to do this, but I like stronger cards. As you can see I chose to use a stitched heart and scalloped circle to cut out the "holes" for the birds. Since this is a pop up card, I added fun patterns on the back panel for an added surprise!

The gorgeous branch and robin are from the Spring Birds stamp set, which I colored with Copics. I fussy cut the images, but coordinating dies are available. I arranged the branch hanging off the left side and trimmed it flush with the edge. The simple sentiment banner was stamped using a sentiment from the Oopsy Daisy stamp set. I heat embossed it for added dimension. I truly loved making this project, because I was able to incorporate fun patterned papers with my love of coloring and of course, die cutting. I hope you love it as much as I do.
