Romantic Die Cut Scene Card
Hello, crafty friends!! I hope your week is off to a great start!! I have a very romantic card to share with you today for Scrappy Tails Crafts!! This would be perfect for Valentine’s Day or an anniversary!!
I created this entire scene using only die-cuts!! I die-cut the Umbrella Couple and the Garden Gate Dies from white card stock, then colored and added shading to them with Copic markers.
For the background, I blended Bundled Sage and Rustic Wilderness Distress Oxide Inks onto a panel of Bristol smooth card stock for the grass and Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky and Faded Jeans for the sky.
Once dry, the die-cuts were arranged and adhered on top with liquid glue, except the umbrella. It was popped up with foam tape instead.
The sentiment was die-cut using the “Love” word die included in the Chocolate Heart Gift Box Die Set. It was cut from red glitter card stock once and heavyweight white card stock three times. The layers were adhered together with liquid glue, then adhered to the front of the card. “You” was white heat embossed onto a red card stock strip using a stamp from the J’adore Stamp Set and a bit of masking. It was popped up with foam adhesive.
I created the rain with a clear sparkle gel pen. As a final detail, I added dots to the centers of the flowers with a yellow gel pen. A tiny black bead was added to the center of the umbrella and this card was finished!
I really love how this turned out!! I love adding shading and dimension to die-cuts with markers!! Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a wonderful Wednesday and happy late Valentine's Day!!
