Russian Winter Village

Hello friends! I had the honor to collaborate with a wonderful card making company, Scrappy Tails! I can't wait to share with you my ideas using the wonderful products that this company sent me.
This is my first blog post featuring the Russian Winter Village stamp set. You may not know this, but I am actually a Russian crafter. so making a card with this set was something special for me. My idea for this card was to try and show you the festive winter atmosphere on Red Square in Moscow. There is even a Moscow Kremlin in the stamp set, Yay!
I started by stamping some of the images from the stamp set using Memento Espresso Truffle Ink Pad. I colored them in using my Copic Markers. I cut them out with scissors (coordinating dies are available here). Then, I added some highlights using a white gel pen.
Next, I created an ink blended winter sky using Peacock Feathers and Broken China Distress Oxide inks. I used the Music Note Swirl Layering Stencil Set to create the wispy lines across my sky. I blended white pigment ink through the stencil. I think using the white ink gave my sky the appearance of the northern lights.
The last step was to add my images to the card. I adhered them using some foam squares for extra dimension. How beautiful this atmosphere is, isn't it?
I also stamped the sentiment to the bottom of the card. Once that was done, I embellished my card with some snowflake sequins.
That's all for today friends! I will be back tomorrow with a fun Nutcracker Ballet card design! Bye for now.
