Slimline Pop up Snow Globe with Cardinals
Hello friends! I have a fun, Slimline pop up Christmas card to share with you today featuring a new and innovative product from Scrappy Tails Crafts.
For today's card, I used the gorgeous new Slimline Snow Globe Pop Up die set along with the Cardinal Blessings 6x6 Stamp Set. Here’s a great YOUTUBE tutorial by Ilina Crouse on how to put one of these spinner cards together.
I stamped an image from the Cardinal Blessings Stamp Set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110lb Card Stock. Then, I masked the image with a Gina K Designs Masking Magic Sheet that I had re-stamped and fussy cut the same image on.
I ink blended a blue sky around my image using some Chipped Sapphire and Blueprint Sketch Distress Inks. Next, I removed my mask and colored my image in with Copic Markers once my background was completely dry.
Copic Colors Used:
Reds: R05, R35, R39, R89
Browns: E41, E42, E43, E44, E47
Greens: YG01, G43, G46
I then die cut the entire image with the smallest rounded rectangle die from the Slimline Snow Globe Pop Up Die Set.
Next, I fussy cut a snow drift and cut the base of it with the same rounded rectangle die so that it would match my stamped base piece.
Lastly, I used some dark blue card stock to create my card base and stamped my sentiment onto a piece of Smooth White Card Stock before attaching it to my card base.
As a finishing touch, I added a few small snow flakes that I die cut from the A7 Snow Globe Pop Up Card Metal Craft Die.
