Starry Candle Pop up Card
Hi friends, Joy here with you today with a traditional take on the Slimline Snow Globe Pop Up card. I happen to love traditional Christmas décor, but I know slimline cards are all of the rage right now, so I thought this was the perfect compromise between the past and present. Let me know what you think!
I gravitated toward the Candle Light Poinsettia stamp set for the traditional part of this card because it reminds me of classic Christmas movies.
Before coloring up this gem, I decided to work on my background. I stenciled an iridescent glaze through the Starry Night stencil so that it could dry while I colored and die cut my snow globe elements.
Once I had all of the die cutting done, I stamped a sentiment from the Christmas Icons stamp set onto the rectangle panel included with the Slimline Snow Globe Pop Up die.
Then, I began the easy construction process. To see how these cards are built, check out Sabrina's video tutorial HERE
There are several ways to construct this awesome die set. I chose the solid background which allows my centerpiece to swing. If you create it with two frames instead, the card will be open and allow the centerpiece to spin. If you want it to spin, be sure to create the same centerpiece design twice and glue it back to back.

I am making the starry candle pop up card. I cannot tell if the blue background is attached to a larger white piece or if attached to a solid back. It’s such a beautiful card. I can’t wait to make it!
