Today, I'm showcasing a Summer themed pop up box card design. The base of the card was built from heavy weight 110 pound white Nina card-stock. I used some nautical inspired pattern paper I had in my stash. The bottom of the card features gold foiled sea shells. The top paper's striped pattern almost resembles a pattern you might find on a beach towel. I stamped a sentiment which reads, "sending you sunshine" onto a sun-ray yellow and orange die cut.
The inside of the card showcases an adorable Summer scene filled with die cuts such as palm trees, waves and sail boats. The back of the card features a sillhouete of a woman reading a book in her hammock strung between two larger palm trees. All of the palm trees were die cut from green card-stock. I added some brown color to their trunks using a copic marker. (a short-cut so I don't have to die cut the same die twice with brown and green card-stock!!) To finish the scene and further add to the vacation feel of this card, I added a sun die cut from yellow and orange card-stock as well as a few stitched die cut clouds.
