The Sweetest Christmas Card

The Sweetest Christmas Card

Hello my dear friends! today I'd like to share with you a sweet Christmas card I made with some of the new products from the latest Scrappy Tails Crafts release called Candlelight Christmas!

I started by creating my pink background panel. I cut a white rectangle panel to the size of my A2 card base. On it, I ink blended Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink. I then used the beautiful new "Slimline Snowflake Corner"  stencil and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide ink to add a subtle pattern to it.
To build the gingerbread house, I cut a rectangle from kraft card stock, and I softly ink blended the edges with white ink. The roof was created by freehand cutting a trapeze shape from dark brown card stock. Then, using the larger frosting strip die, I cut the bottom edge of the trapeze to create the decorative border at the bottom of the roof.
I then decorated the entire house by cutting all the adorable pieces from the new "A7 Storefront Gingerbread House Add-on", including the candy canes, the door, the gumdrops, windows, frosting and even the snow for the top of the roof. I cut all the pieces from white card stock and colored them in with alcohol markers.

For the sentiment, I die cut the words "warm wishes" from red metallic card stock using the "Winter Essentials" die set from last year's Christmas collection.

I glued everything together and added some 'snowfall' Distress paste with clear rock candy Distress Glitter here and there to add a final sparkly touch! I also added two white snowflake embellishments below the windows. I love the tiny details! I also splattered the entire card with white gouache, and some coordinating  Distress Inks.

That's all for today. I hope you enjoy the card! I wish you a "sweet" rest of your week! Big hugs, Silvia.
