Timeless Tulips Mini Slimline Birthday Card
Hello my fellow paper lovers! Today I have a birthday card created for Scrappy Tails Crafts, everything I used for today's card is listed below!
So I know there are no such things as blue tulips, but I have always been a bit of a rule breaker. So blue tulips it was! I got out some of my spectrum noir markers and went to work coloring them in several shades of blue. I then gave them a healthy dose of glitter....because why not?
I wanted my tulips to take center stage so I kept the card pretty simple. I added some dimension by using my envelope die punch to create a mini envelope to tuck my tulips into. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment comes from the Scrappy Tails slimline shadow box die set. I die cut the word dies directly from the shadow layer to create a negative sentiment, it turned out really cool and different! To help the sentiment stand out, I backed it with pale green cardstock.
Finally, I added some background pattern papers, ribbons, thread, buttons, washi tape, some sequins...and a finishing touch of Nuvo drops and my birthday card was complete.
This is not a color combo I use much but really like it. I challenge you to step outside your comfort zone and try out some different color schemes!
