Use Your Dies in Unintended Ways
Hi everyone! Today, I am sharing my latest card for Scrappy Tails Crafts, a Shadowbox card using patterned paper from Graphic 45 and the German Winter Village stamp and coordinating die set. Let's take a close up look!
Video Tutorial
Here is the video on how to create this easy square shadow box. It was so fun to create. I used a single die from the "Mini Pop up Boxes" die set to create it. I love being able to take a die that was meant to do something else, and create something totally new with it. Now, I don’t know about you, but that’s what makes a die set worth the price point when you can get so much more use out of it!
To decorate my shadow box, I used Graphic45 paper to cover the outer frame as well as the back wall. I also added some acetate behind my frame to make a clear window.
I created the scene inside my box using stamped images from the Scrappy Tails Crafts "German Winter Village" stamp set. Above the houses and trees, I added a white heat embossed sentiment. I love the traditional feel of this card. I think it could also be a great home decor piece!
Thanks again for stopping by today. I'll see you next time!
