Valentine Chocolate Heart Gift Box
Hey friends!! I hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!!
I have a fun project for Scrappy Tails to show you today that’s not a card! Sabrina comes up with some really innovative dies and the newest Valentine release by Scrappy Tails is no exception!! I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it!!
For today's project, I’m featuring the new Chocolate Heart Gift Box die set and the Scalloped Heart Add-On die set! There is also a Chocolate Heart Gift Box Bundle that is currently 5% off! In that bundle, you get the two dies that I used, plus two more…its a great deal!
I began by die-cutting the top and bottom of the box and the sides (4 times) from red card stock using the Chocolate Heart Gift Box. I die cut a scalloped heart from the center of the top lid of the box using a heart from the Scalloped Heart Add-On die set.
I folded the sides pieces along the score lines and adhered them to the top and bottom of the box with liquid adhesive.
I die-cut a heart from red card stock and adhered it to the bottom of the box to hide the tabs from the sides pieces. I die cut another heart from acetate and adhered it on the inside of the top lid of the box to create a see through window.
To embellish the box, I die-cut a bow twice from silver glitter card stock and “Be Mine” from silver glitter and white card stock. These dies were included in the Chocolate Heart Gift Box.
The small heart die is from the Scalloped Heart Add-On.
I added Stick-It adhesive to the back of the card stock before die-cutting the “Be Mine”. This ensured that I wouldn’t have to mess with liquid adhesive on the acetate.
The top bow was only adhered in the center so it would pop-up for dimension. The white die-cuts were adhered behind the silver glitter die cuts for added dimension. I slightly offset the heart, and adhered it to the top of the box. I added my Hershey kisses inside the box, and now, I have the perfect gift for Valentine’s Day!!
The possibilities with these dies are endless!! I chose to make this one a little more masculine, but I can’t wait to make a feminine one!! Be sure to check out all of the amazing samples over on the Scrappy Tails Blog!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! Enjoy the rest of your week and I’ll see you soon!!
