Vellum Fairy Wings
Hello Scrappy Tails Fans, Waleska Galindo here to share my first Design Team post for the Month. I am back from vacation, and I am ready to share with you some new inspiration with some awesome Scrappy Tail products.
For today's post, I used the beautiful Fairy Girl 4x4 stamp set to make a simple card with a 3D effect. I hope you like it!
CARD DETAILS:
To create this card, I started by coloring my fairy. I kept the coloring very simple because I wanted the wings to be the focal point on this card.
I used Copic markers to color the hair, skin and flowers.
I then used some purple vellum to stamp and gold emboss the wings on the fairy. I hand cut and adhered them to the image only adding glue in the center, so they would look 3D.
I love how the semi transparent wings turned out!
For my background, I added Nuvo Shimmer Powder to a watercolor panel. I sprayed water on the shimmer powders to wick the pigments away and create a beautiful organic watercolor background. I wanted a magical look and I think that these powders did a great job accomplishing that goal.
I then adhered this panel to a gold card stock panel and a white card base. Finally, I added my sentiment, which I white heat embossed on black card stock.
