Watercolor Anthurium

Hi crafty friends! I’m absolutely honored to announce that I have joined the Scrappy Tails design team! I’m sharing a watercolor card as my first DT blog post, using the beautiful Tropical bliss collection.

I absolutely adore the new Anthurium Die from Scrappy Tails. (I have a beautiful bright Anthurium on my window sill at home!) I immediately knew I wanted to create a card with it in the center.
I die cut the Anthurium from white watercolor card stock several times.  I painted the base anthurium die in bright reds and greens; I painted the stamens in yellow.  I glued the petals and stamens to the base dies with some white die cuts behind for added dimension.
I ink blended some complimentary inks on to some white card stock and adhered on to an A2 card base. Then, I adhered my painted Anthurium in the center. I cut the 'LOVE' sentiment that is included in the Scrappy Tails Flower Vase Pop Up Card Die three times from black card stock. I adhered the letters onto my painted Anthurium and added Glossy Accents on them for some shine. I finished with some iridescent bubbles scattered here and there.

Thank you so much for reading my first design team post for Scrappy Tails. Please let me know what you think in the comments below!
