Winter Trees Christmas Card
Hello crafters! Joy here today with a beautiful Christmas scene to share with you today! During the holidays, I would wait by the window in anticipation of the mail arriving and would dream of all the cards and gifts of Christmas! Does anyone else share similar memories?
The Scrappy Tails Cardinal Blessings stamp set has me dreaming of the holidays and I hope it inspires you to start your Holiday projects if you haven't already.
I started by cutting a free-handed hill side from masking paper. Using the hill side, I masked the bottom third of my panel and above, blended a soft purple and blue dye ink with a blending brush. I also splattered the sky with white acrylic paint to mimc snow and put it aside to dry.
Next, I stamped the mailbox and presents from the Cardinal Blessings 6x6 stamp set onto smooth white card stock and colored the images in with my Copics.
To create the fun layered trees, I die cut the A2 Forest Tree Cover Plate using white and silver glitter cardstock and removed the center branch from them. I offset them slightly to get the shadow effect when stacking them. I stamped my sentiment over my hill side and embossed it with silver embossing powder.
For final embellishment, I added a light mist of shimmer spray and silver gems to accent the glistening snow!
I hope that you have enjoyed this card and will give it a try! For more inspiration please join us on the Scrappy Tails Crafts Facebook page! You will also find stunning projects on the Scrappy Tails Youtube, and Instagram!

Beautiful card, Joy, and indeed it does bring back memories. Although the cards were for my parents, I always enjoyed reading them too. I don’t remember getting
packages in the mail but I loved that you added them from your memories. Love this card. Thanks for sharing.
