Our new “Japanese Cherry Blossom Square Tunnel Pop Up Card” Metal Craft Die Set will be your new favorite tunnel in the Scrappy Tails Tunnel card collection. With this new square design, you will be able to create a 5 inch square tunnel that will fold beautifully into an A7 sized 5X7 inch envelope when folded flat. (Since it fits into a 5x7 inch envelope, you will bypass the postal offices surcharges for square envelopes!) It includes everything you need to create a pretty tunnel card and to decorate it with the most beautiful Japanese Cherry Blossoms. There are dies that cut the full sized square as well as a square that cuts a smaller square out of the center in order to create a 4 inch open square essentially a frame, which allows the viewer to see inside the tunnel all the way to the back panel. You can use one, two or even three of these open frames in your tunnel. You can choose to keep your tunnel open in the back or to close it off and therefore creating a beautiful area for a sentiment or an area for a personal message to the card’s recipient(s). The front would also be beautiful if you were to add acetate to create a “window look a like”. Also, consider to add a tea light or a “Pear Blossom Press Easy Light” inside your shadow box to create some targeted light to draw the eye to a specific area of your tunnel that you want to highlight.

The florals come in multiple layers that we recommend that you cut out in three different colors. You can also back layer these flowers or even layer the pieces that fall out in the die cutting process back in (possibly in a different, but complimentary shade of the same color or within the same color spectrum) for even more detail and dimension. The details are insanely beautiful and you will need to bring out your favorite tweezers for all the little bloom details and the tiny little included leaves as well. The little touches of green, will lend your card even more eye candy and the added work to add the little leaves here and there are absolutely worth it. Of course you can make these blooms any bloom of your choice, you don’t have to stick just with cherry blossom colors, imagine bringing out your favorite greens and yellows for lemon & orange blossoms or deep pinks for almond tree blooms etc. We have a cherry blossom branch die plate available as well (as an add-on, sold separately), that will give you even more blooms to layer even more foliage into your tunnel. Thinking of a beautiful sentiment, we decided to include a very nice sized “Happy Mother’s Day” sentiment, complete with a matching shadow layer, which would easily finish off your tunnel card. The side panel needed to close your tunnel is also included since it is sized slightly different to match the five inch square size of this tunnel. You have everything here to get started with a stunning card for mom, for birthdays, for just because, for thinking of you, for your favorite bride and it will for sure be displayed for along time to come, since it will be a true masterpiece.

Directions for metal craft die use:

1. Gently remove the metal craft die from it’s packaging
2. Using your favorite die-cutting machine, lay a piece of strong card-stock facing the sharp edges of the die and run the required “plate sandwich” through your machine (please note that different machines use different die-cutting sandwiches)
3. These dies are thin steel dies and they work in most available manual and automatic die cutting machines, such as your Vagabond, Cuttlebug, Gemini, Gemini junior, Spellbinder’s Platinum, Big Kick, Big Shot etc.
4. Dies work on different thin materials, including paper, cardstock, specialty foiled or glitter papers
