We are so excited to introduce our first of two 2025 Christmas/ Winter Holiday product lines this October. This posting here is for our Polar Express Train Ornament Metal Craft Die Set, which can be used to create a fun 3D Christmas train ornament to be added to the optional front of our brand new Polar Express Caboose Pop up(sold separately). This train ornament die set is oversized (or should we say huge) - you will receive two 8.5x11 sheets full of dies for just this one ornament set. The set gives you the main train front and the layering details like the framing, the windows, the wheel bases and even the full ornament enclosure mechanism that allows you to glue two trains back to back to create a 3D ornament structure that will stand up independently. Just add a small hole to the enclosed mechanisms top and thread your ornament hook through the hole to create a hanger to easily hang your train ornament on your Christmas tree or in order to use it as a “gift tag” on your Christmas gift wrap this year.

You can layer all the train elements up and paper piece the train together with your favorite color combinations from traditional red/green/ gold, to candy cane fun in red/white or maybe more elegant with black/gray/silver & white and even an icy blue train looks fabulous for a gorgeous winter card. Please note that the ornament train is different from the Polar Express Pop Up Card Metal Craft Die. This set here creates a smaller train, also the structure is thicker and allows for being used as a miniature gift holder of little candies or lip glosses or smaller items (if you don’t completely enclose the structure, but rather fill it with goodies). Also this train faces the opposite direction when compared to the train pop up card.

The ornament also comes with a good sized Santa, who is sitting in the little train window and is steering the train forward. There are a few very small and easy layers on Santa’s cute little face.

This die set is a nice size and includes many cool details and accessories to give you a great foundation for your Christmas train projects. Add multiple cabooses back to back for a long train effect. Consider to string up the train with multiple cabooses for a cool garland home decoration.

This Metal Craft Die can be combined with any other products/ images from our latest Polar Express Christmas Train collection, which released in October 2025 and that are sold separately.

Directions for metal craft die use:

1. Gently remove the metal craft die from it’s packaging
2. Using your favorite die-cutting machine, lay a piece of strong card-stock facing the sharp edges of the die and run the required “plate sandwich” through your machine (please note that different machines use different die-cutting sandwiches)
3. These dies are thin steel dies and they work in most available manual and automatic die cutting machines, such as your Vagabond, Cuttlebug, Gemini, Gemini junior, Spellbinder’s Platinum, Big Kick, Big Shot etc.
4. Dies work on different thin materials, including paper, cardstock, specialty foiled or glitter papers
