Learn how to completely construct and decorate our A7 pop up mug in today's coordinating video tutorial.
I started this card by die cutting all my mug base pieces from pattern paper. Then, I assembled my mug. I also die cut my decorative pieces beforehand.
I used our new "Valentine Mug Add-on" die set to dress up my mug for Valentine's Day. The pieces included in that set are the doily, sentiment, coffee beans, straw, spoon, stirrer and steam. I die cut some of the elements from pattern paper for added interest.
The sentiment was triple layered with heavy weight white card stock for added dimension.
To the top of my mug, I added some die cut hearts from our new "Scalloped Hearts Add-on" Die set.
To decorate my plate, I added a donut from our new "Desserts" die set. I also added a layered heart chocolate from our new "Chocolate Truffles" die set. I love paper piecing these little sweets! I also added a cute gold spoon.
The base of my mug was finished off with some die cut hearts and a large pink glittery bow that comes in our new "Heart Shaped Chocolate Box" die set.
Again, I die cut my mug and plate from some pattern paper. I love to use up my pattern papers for card bases!
Card two features images from last year's "Sweet Bear" 4x6 stamp set. I used the coordinating dies to cut them out. I ended up using all of the images from the set to create a cute Valentine scene at the top of my mug. I also added some die cut hearts and steam.
The plate was decorated with a box of chocolates, some coffee beans and die cut hearts that I popped up with foam tape.
The base of the mug was decorated with a sentiment from the same "Sweet Bear" stamp set and a large red glittery bow. I think the bows really make these cards adorable!
