Chocolate Heart Gift Box
Hello friends! Today I'm sharing this Chocolate Heart Shaped Gift Box featuring some new products from Scrappy Tails. I wanted to make this look like the top of a cake, which is often made on Valentine's day. It was SO fun to make!
Then, I used the two heart dies from the Scalloped Heart Add-On die set to decorate the box lid. From two purple card stock layers, I cut strips. One heart I cut vertical strips, the other heart I cut horizontal strips. I wove them back together to create a "wicker" design centerpiece. Then I scored this heart in half to create a hidden flap. Behind my woven scalloped heart, I added a vellum pierced heart behind it.
I created several truffles using the new "Chocolate Truffles" die set by Scrappy Tails. I die cut each chocolate from kraft card stock and ink blended around the edges of them for added dimension. I used the truffles with the frosting instead of the sprinkles so I can pop them up with multiple layers of heavy weight colored card stock. To give my truffles a luxurious feel, I added some pearls, sprinkles and gold leaf embellishments to each one.
I adhered two truffles to the left side of the heart. This side will not open. Then, I adhered my woven heart panel over the top of the box with some foam tape.
Next, I folded half of the woven heart and glued the rest of my candies inside so that it looked like the lid of a truffle box. I think it looks super interesting!
Finally, I placed the sentiment "Love" on the upper left part of the heart. This sentiment comes in the same "Heart Shaped Chocolate Box" die set. I also sprinkled a few pearls around the woven scalloped heart, and then I was all finished with my chocolate box! I plan on adding real chocolates inside!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
