It’s time for Halloween and this die here is our newest pop up interactive die to join Scrappy Tails Crafts long list of 3D pop Up cards.  This card is very cool and definitely interactive. To get you started with this huge die, we strongly recommend to watch some of our YouTube tutorials, which will start to load up to the channel during this launch week, so please keep an eye open on our YouTube schedule. This is the absolute largest die that we have ever brought out and we even included (for free!) one of our old but truly useful pop up rubber-band slider mechanisms that Scrappy Tails originally launched its company with back in 2020. This is a slightly smaller version of the original die, but it can be changed/sized to work inside this brand new picture box (as well as in many other pop up cards!) to have it pop into place straight out of the envelope, which is a great surprise for your recipient.

Now, what do you get and why is this die so cool? Basically, you will get a pop up box that is a 6X6 or a 8x8 sized square when folded completely flat (depending on how much you add to the top of your card!), which means it will fit into a standardized 6X6 or 8X8 envelope. The box has a window shaped opening in the front and a deep cut into its interior which can be filled with a number of different images (stamps and dies - new & older once which you already have in your stash). The sides of the box fold down, which essentially collapses the box and lays it flat. When the window box comes back to life (thanks to the pressure and pull of a rubber band), the back and the very front of the card will pop up as well. So, you will experience a popped up surprise at the very back of the card, at the very front of the card, and also you will see that (thanks to the slider bridge that expands and contracts) that surprise images will magically (spookily, is that even a word?) appear inside the window. You can use more than one bridge inside the card and you can camouflage the bridge with the images of your choice. As the card unfolds, the images will slide into the center of the window, revealing your design and your surprise images. There is a lot of interactivity going on in this card all at the same time. We have a few very cool add-ons for this window box, including the fortune teller booth and the crystal ball. Our ghosts, cats, and celestial accessories are also all small enough to turn our little window into a cat fun house, a spooky ghost window or maybe a planetarium perhaps, but this picture box could easily take shape for other occasions and seasons- think puppet theatres, maybe a concert hall with instruments on stage and ballets dancers, retail windows decorated for different seasons (like toy shops or your favorite Christmas booth selling gift packages and bags with big bows or a bakery selling your favorite tiered wedding cakes - or the outer edge could be turned into a closet with baby toys and baby clothes for a new baby card…. Scrappy Tails will keep your crafty hearts content with many upcoming add-ons for this must have new pop up card.

Make sure to grab a baggie of matching rubber bands and a roll of strong double sided paper tape to make sure that your project will be a success and last a long time even when handled all the time. 
Included in this die set are a couple of Halloween dies, including two good sized Halloween sentiments - Happy Halloween and Happy Haunting - complete with shadow dies!. Also included are a handful of little bats, a tiny spider and two good sized (very detailed and dainty) spiderwebs - a round web and a a corner web. Lastly, two mini pumpkins are also included- complete with the solid back pumpkins and the friendly jack-o’-lantern cut outs to layer on top of the solids.

Directions for metal craft die use:

1. Gently remove the metal craft die from it’s packaging
2. Using your favorite die-cutting machine, lay a piece of strong card-stock facing the sharp edges of the die and run the required “plate sandwich” through your machine (please note that different machines use different die-cutting sandwiches)
3. These dies are thin steel dies and they work in most available manual and automatic die cutting machines, such as your Vagabond, Cuttlebug, Gemini, Gemini junior, Spellbinder’s Platinum, Big Kick, Big Shot etc.
4. Dies work on different thin materials, including paper, cardstock, specialty foiled or glitter papers
