You, our customers, have requested more A7 cover plates and frames, and we have listened to you and focused this entire collection on your wishes. With the Classic Horror collection, Scrappy Tails is focusing on some iconic and classic horror/ Halloween books, that have stood the test of time. We have created cover plates to celebrate these classics. These cover plates are just a tad smaller than a standard A7 card size (5x7 inches) to leave just a small decorative border around your card front panel. These cover plates are also specifically designed to work with Scrappy Tails Crafts best selling and most beloved A7 Pop Up Book Metal Craft Die. If you own our A7 Pop up Book, these cover plates are a must have addition to your collection. If you are new to our pop up books (which includes a very cool interior shadow box), then we would love to invite you to check out our many tutorials on how to create these amazing pop up book cards. They are amazing, because while they are dimensional, they can also still fold flat for mailing as a unique and extraordinary card!

The Spellbook cover plate of course focuses on witches, and they have been portrayed in too many horror classics to name them all. This set is a beautiful, more classic cover plate that includes an ornate and intricate spiderweb design outside frame that stretches the entire length and width of the cover plate. Nested within the spiderweb frame, you have two center tags, those two are very ornate with a pretty swirl with an inlaid cat at the very top. The inner most tag is an additional detail layer that will further raise up your card front. It has a small hole design all the way around the outer parameter. You can add your die cut images or your stamped messages right onto this second layer of the tag. You can omit one or both layers or use one or the other. The tags are also small enough to adorn an A2 sized note card. We also include a small cauldron along with a stir stick and a small kitty to layer up on your tag. Also included are some bauble dies and a miniature spider that can of course be added to your cauldron. Additionally, for even more value, we are including some scripty words that spell out “Spells and Potions” which can wrap perfectly around the cauldron on the inner tag. Below your tag, you can add the additional three block letter style words that spell out “Brews, Charms, Elixers”. We tried to really provide a great amount of value and there is always room for some additional word dies on our cards. There is a lot of detail in this cover plate and a lot of versatility to use one, two or all of the elements. Have fun creating your very own Spellbooks.

Directions for metal craft die use:

1. Gently remove the metal craft die from it’s packaging
2. Using your favorite die-cutting machine, lay a piece of strong card-stock facing the sharp edges of the die and run the required “plate sandwich” through your machine (please note that different machines use different die-cutting sandwiches)
3. These dies are thin steel dies and they work in most available manual and automatic die cutting machines, such as your Vagabond, Cuttlebug, Gemini, Gemini junior, Spellbinder’s Platinum, Big Kick, Big Shot etc.
4. Dies work on different thin materials, including paper, cardstock, specialty foiled or glitter papers
