Product Description:

We are always approached by our customers to create more A7 sized (5x7 inch) cover-plates/ background dies since they make for intricate and beautiful fast cards , essentially covering the entire real estate of a front card panel. Of course we also love to use these cover plates in our A7 pop up books as well.

This coverplate here is absolutely stunning and would Look lovely at the back of our “Wedding Trifold Add On” die set (Sold separately) and especially in conjunction with our “Swan Lake Trifold Add-On” die set (also sold separately).

Basically, this cover plate depicts a willow tree (or a weeping myrtle?)it is a stunning die with an incredible amount of detail. Also the tree trunks and tree branches are provided as a stand alone die within this set in order for you to layer this scene up with additional details and color variations (ie make the leaves and branches green and the trunks brown). Adding the tree trunks separately will create a lot more texture and dimension on your card. The tree canopy is designed to peak at the top, making the tree plate look a little bit “arch like”.

This cover-plate is so tranquil and calming, that we decided to include a more unusual sentiment, which is “With Sympathy”. We all struggle with those cards and this cover plate die would just do all the work for you. In addition to the good sized sentiment, we also included the matching shadow die.

At the same time, we can create lovely garden/ park scenes, romantic tree canopies for the newly engaged couple.

Maybe in all white, we can create a lovely scene for a wedding. Also in white, we can envision a beautiful holiday or winter card (maybe when using some pretty fine glitter or junky ice glitter to make things look frozen). There is so much potential with this die. We feel it will be used all the time in our craft room due to its versatility and the amount of beautiful details. Directions for metal craft die use:

1. Gently remove the metal craft die from it’s packaging
2. Using your favorite die-cutting machine, lay a piece of strong card-stock facing the sharp edges of the die and run the required “plate sandwich” through your machine (please note that different machines use different die-cutting sandwiches)
3. These dies are thin steel dies and they work in most available manual and automatic die cutting machines, such as your Vagabond, Cuttlebug, Gemini, Gemini junior, Spellbinder’s Platinum, Big Kick, Big Shot etc.
4. Dies work on different thin materials, including paper, cardstock, specialty foiled or glitter papers
